Lance Klusener, the team’s head coach, is optimistic about the team’s chances in the short-format competition. The former South African all-rounder explained the characteristics required for success in the T10 format and highlighted his team’s strengths.
Following the draft in Abu Dhabi, the Arabian Aces completed their roster on October 1, 2026. The team, owned by a group captained by Pankaj and Neeraj Jain, will compete in the Abu Dhabi T10 at the Zayed Cricket Stadium from November 7 to 20. Along with draft picks Sam Billings, Imran Tahir, and Richard Gleeson, the team includes pre-signed international players Moeen Ali, Andre Russell, and Liam Livingstone.
What Arabian Aces Must Do to Comply with the T10 Format
With its 10-overs-a-side format, the T10 format pushes players who are accustomed to longer formats to make quick decisions and be adaptable. Klusener’s emphasis on creativity and problem-solving reflects the unique challenges of a tournament in which traditional cricket approaches are not always appropriate. Teams must create a balance between aggressive batting and disciplined bowling due to the format’s compression, something Lance Klusener believes his squad can do.
